I was driving to work today
Listening to the radio
Moving from freeway to freeway
And settling in for the hour
Right then, I start to hear the voices
same voices, everyday
An old man who meets a girl half his age
Who tries to con her into loving him,
A dog searching for truth and love
within his shitty existence of being chained to a wall
in a 7 by 7 concrete backyard
A young girl, just out of college, bent on the fervor
of life in the big city, allows herself to be drunk,
naked and touched for the first time
Around this time I am off the freeway
Hearing the final voice
The guy driving into the parking lot of his office job
With all those characters he knows and cherishes close to him,
They blink at one another and then to him
- the guy – the characters – they stare - in awe of each other –
the young college girl says “It’s okay, mister. In due time”
and her neighbor, the old chained dog with his pleading eyes beckon him saying
“I know your gonna let me out.”
Then after blinking and a small sigh the guy gets out of his car and heads into the office and the characters all walk together into the woods.

Fawnskin
Hot box the tent
Dog pee in the fire
Ice cold beer dripping
Make a teepee with the logs
Fall asleep to whooping neighbors
Wake up to whooping neighbors
Burned up logs sitting aloft
Stare into the fire like its your first
Porto-john gets spicier and spicier
Sex in the afternoon, you and the birds
Hot chocolate with real chocolate
Dog is tethered and sleeping
Myriad of cuts unknown as to how
Young girl with puppy feeding it crackers
Dust in your pores, coating your hearts
Sunburned back but calves remain white
Don’t stray from the trail
Er else risk the ticks
Knee high socks keep you safe

THE TREEHOUSE by Morty Diamond
Didya wanna
Didya didya wanna
Come up! Say hi!
Hey Hi!
In that ruddy hairy face of mine!
Didya ever meet a flattened nut of a tranny
Well now’s the time!
Youth in my eyes and fever scored on my chest
Now how can you resist!
Up here the temperate climate
Keeping a tranny cool and calm
the tranny in a tree house
Asks you “hey c’c’c’mon”
Swing on by in my direction
I’m wildness and with my
Fingers eternally bent
You’ll wonder
How’d he stay alive
that bastard bugger!
Hum dinger muther fucker!
Trust that if I feel good about
Thirteen surgeries back there
You bet I’ll not flinch
When you’ll speak
Gallows! The Gallows!
Ahh, its all you want from me!
Naw you owe me nothing and
Im heading down Houston street
Sweating farting and mulling
Swing on by, in my direction
Hello Sara and Sarah and Jim
Dr. Whos-it-was – welcome to me home
Here, I’m pouring you a drink
Hey Doc. You’d once said
The girlish figure under a …oooh wait
Yeah, yeah!
Gooooo on!
You once were?
Ah hah! keep pouring!!
I’m so darn confused!
Now listen!
No YOU listen!
I made that bed before.
Guess you’ll just have to make it once more!
Alrighty then!
See, I’m forging through the night
So I don’t have to come down no more
Playing hooky from my mind
Damn this word is Still so unkind

Momma by M Diamond
Momma
I am surrounded
Be plaintive with me and mull it over
Set stone cold gloves on me and let me
Take in the plasma that’s needed
Return beguiled not because we
Forgot each other left each other at the crossing
But for world wars don’t they ever cease?

Set stone cold gloves on me and let me
Take in the plasma that’s needed

Forgot each other left each other at the crossing
